Hospital Policies
Clinton Veterinary Hospital policies support our goal to provide the most rewarding experience for our clients, their pets and our employees. These policies ensure the highest quality of veterinary medical care, highest level of safety, and the most efficient delivery of services. While visiting our facility, please adhere to the following:
Appointment Policy:
- Clients and our patients are to be seen by appointment only. Walk-in clients will be seen as time allows and an emergency/walk-in fee will apply. Emergency cases are rare and unpredictable events which shall receive top priority.
- Surgery/Anesthetic procedures that are scheduled, require a $100 deposit PRIOR to performance of procedure, this will go towards the cost total cost of procedure. If you may cancel or no show without communication, the deposit is non-refundable.
- ALL pets being seen by veterinarian must have an up-to-date rabies vaccination status. If the pet is not current, we require it to be performed at time of visit unless deemed otherwise by rDVM.
- For you and your pets protection, as well as others; all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled at all times. All cats must be in a carrier. No exceptions.
- If for any reason your pet has to stay with us for any procedure or diagnostics, an estimate must be signed with approval, if the owner leaves without communication and appropriate paperwork not signed, a hospitalization fee will be applied.
- Any pet that is coughing, sneezing, vomiting or diarrhea, please let us know prior to your appointment so there in minimal cross-contamination and the exam room can be available.
Prescription Policy
- If pet on prescription medications are not current on an annual examination, medications cannot be refilled or prescribed.
- Long-term use of any drug prescribed may cause side-effects or complications. These medical conditions are required to be monitored accordingly so therapy can be modified when necessary. Such as annual, bi-annual exam, bloodwork or further diagnostics.
- Refills; please allow at least 48 hours for prescription refills so the can be accommodated appropriately.
Payment Policy
- Payment is required to be paid in full at time of services. If another party is bringing your pet that is not on account; communication must be on your part for approval of services. If financial constraints arise, we accept care credit as an option. We do not accept payment plans of any kind.
